Black Tea – Loose Leaf

$19.00
Ceylon black tea is made from the leaves and tender stems of the Camellia Sinensis plant, which are hand-picked, withered, rolled, fermented, dried, and sifted. Tea pluckers carefully handpick the bud and two three leaves from each stem and these leaves are then dried until they’ve lost 50% of their moisture in tea factories. Then mechanical rollers are used to separate and break the leaves. During the Fermenting stage the leaves are fully fermented, which reduces their antioxidant content but gives the tea a full-bodied flavour. Finally, the leaves are dried and sifted for packaging Tea Tip Ceylon black tea originates from Sri Lanka, an island country in the Indian Ocean.
